Power outage in Ukraine's Shostka and its community after Russian strikes on energy infrastructure

Shostka and 38 settlements of the Shostka community in the Sumy region are left without electricity and water due to multiple attacks by Russian forces on the energy infrastructure, according to Shostka Mayor Mykola Noha.
According to the mayor, the Russian army struck the Shostka community at night and continued its attacks during the day. Shelling is still ongoing, and energy facilities have been damaged.
"The city of Shostka and 38 settlements of the community are without electricity. Emergency restoration crews are working! Resilience centers are open! Hospitals are running on generators. Water is also being supplied using alternative energy sources," he wrote.
The mayor also noted that the damage and losses from the Russian attacks are being assessed. Residents of the community are urged not to ignore air raid alerts.
Russian attack on Ukraine on October 3
On the night of October 2–3, Russian troops carried out another combined terrorist attack against Ukraine, launching 35 missiles and 381 drones.
Poltava and the Poltava region were targeted, with the Russian forces striking gas extraction infrastructure. As a result of these attacks, the targeted facilities were forced to halt operations.
Explosions were also reported in Dnipro, Odesa, and several other regions. Energy facilities were also the targets of the enemy there.
