Orbán makes another cynical statement about 'ceasefire' following Zelenskyy's criticism
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's criticism regarding his statements on a "ceasefire," according to his post on Twitter (X).
He responded to Zelenskyy's remark that no European army has relevant experience comparable to Ukraine's.
"Who else in Europe has such experience as Ukraine? No one. Does Orbán have such an army? No. How would he put pressure on Putin? With a joke, a smile? He can keep it," the Ukrainian leader said.
We will not respond to any provocation. There is a ceasefire proposal on the table. Take it or leave it. It’s your responsibility. https://t.co/TIQAs7M3Im

Orban did not acknowledge that there are no real proposals for a "Christmas ceasefire," as previously stated by Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the head of the President's Office.
"We will not respond to any provocation. There is a ceasefire proposal on the table. Take it or leave it. It’s your responsibility," he said.
Proposals for a 'Christmas ceasefire'
Earlier, Viktor Orbán confidently stated that Ukraine had allegedly rejected a "Christmas ceasefire." He also claimed that he had proposed this initiative to both Kyiv and Moscow.
Ukraine immediately responded to these statements by the Hungarian prime minister.
In particular, Ukrainian presidential communications advisor Dmytro Lytvyn noted that Russia had used Orbán's statement to prepare a new strike on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the President's Office, emphasized that no such proposals exist. He also added that Russia would never agree to it anyway, as it is solely interested in further advances and strikes against Ukraine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also called on Hungary to stop all manipulations regarding the "Christmas ceasefire."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Orbán's statements, stressing that the Hungarian prime minister cannot be a peacemaker.
