On the night of June 28, drones attacked an oil refinery in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban in Russia's Krasnodar region, according to OSINT Telegram channels.
According to eyewitnesses, a series of powerful explosions was heard near the Slavyansk oil refinery, followed by a thick column of smoke rising from the site and a large-scale fire breaking out.
At present, several storage tanks containing petroleum products are reported to be burning.

The facility accounts for about 9% of oil refining capacity in Russia's Southern Federal District and around 1.5% of total refining volumes nationwide, supplying fuel, including to Russian occupation forces.
As a reminder, in June Ukraine carried out a record number of air strikes on Russian military-industrial facilities. The main targets were plants producing missiles, electronics, and ammunition.
In recent months, Ukraine has significantly increased the intensity of air attacks on enemy military infrastructure. British intelligence has noted that Ukraine is weakening air defense systems in Crimea, including in areas Russia considers a priority.
Successful June strikes on the Kerch Strait crossing damaged air defense assets, fuel storage facilities, and three vehicle ferries.
