Number of dead continues to rise in Kyiv: Two more bodies recovered from rubble
The death toll from the recent terrorist attack by Russians in Kyiv has increased to 23. Rescuers retrieved two more bodies from the rubble, reports the Telegram channel of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
"Unfortunately, bodies of those killed in the rocket strike continue to be discovered. Rescuers retrieved another body from the rubble," the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration reports.
As of 12:35, there were 22 reported deaths due to the rocket shelling of Kyiv on December 29.
The death toll rises again
At 12:52, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported another casualty. Unfortunately, the number of victims from the Russian terrorist attack has increased to 23 individuals.
Day of mourning
It is worth noting that January 1 in Kyiv will be declared a day of mourning.
Missile strike on Ukraine on December 29
During the night of December 29, terrorists carried out the most massive attack on Ukraine's territory. In total, the enemy launched 36 UAVs of the Shahed type and dozens of missiles, including X-101/X-555/X-55, Kinjal, X-31P, X-59. In particular, the Russians launched 14 guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300, targeting Kharkiv.
The air defense destroyed 114 aerial targets.
Over Kyiv, the air defense destroyed more than 30 targets. In the capital, a fire broke out in multi-story buildings and a warehouse as a result of the attack. The debris at the warehouse in the Shevchenkivskyi district continues to be cleared.
