Russia is dragging its feet to avoid ending the war in Ukraine. We need to put pressure on the Russian President Vladimir Putin, said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, according to The Telegraph.

During his speech at the NATO summit in The Hague, Starmer stated that now is the time to force Putin to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister noted that Putin is "dragging his heels" and added that it is time to "seize the moment."

"In fact, over the last couple of days, I would say my discussions with leaders - there's been a real resolve," he emphasized.

Starmer also pointed out that "now is the time to push again to get Putin to the table for the unconditional ceasefire."

"President Zelenskyy has, for many weeks now, indicated his willingness to go for an unconditional ceasefire. Now is the time for Putin, who has been dragging his heels, to come to the table," the British Prime Minister concluded.
