Russian authorities claim the situation is normal and poses no threat to the city or environment.

However, residents are skeptical, noting that there were several loud explosions, triggering car alarms several kilometers from the plant.

Rumors suggest the plant may have been targeted by unknown drones.

Record-long drone attacks

On September 18, RBC-Ukraine sources reported that SBU drones struck Gazprom's petrochemical complex in Salavat, located approximately 1,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian-Russian border.

According to RBC-Ukraine sources, on the night of September 27, SBU drones also targeted the Tingovatovo oil pumping station in Russia's Chuvash Republic, about 1,000 kilometers from the border.

On March 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a Ukrainian drone had successfully completed tests with a 3,000-kilometer range.
