It is noted that several American military aircraft "crashed" in Kuwaiti airspace, but all crew members survived.
Authorities immediately launched search and rescue operations, evacuating the crews and transporting them to a hospital for medical examination and treatment. All pilots from the downed aircraft have been located and are reported to be in stable condition.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense added that direct coordination with US military officials is ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident, along with the implementation of "joint technical procedures."
The defense ministry also confirmed that an investigation has been launched to establish the cause of the crash.
Background
On February 28, the United States and Israel began a large-scale military operation against Iran. Officials in Tel Aviv stated that the primary goal of the strikes was to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
US President Donald Trump, in turn, announced plans to destroy Iran’s fleet and defense industry and called on the country's citizens to overthrow the current regime.
It was later reported that Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, at least four members of his family, and several high-ranking officials were killed as a result of a series of US and Israeli missile strikes.
This morning, March 2, Israel announced the start of an offensive campaign against the terrorist group Hezbollah in Lebanon. The operation could last several days.
