Israel has launched a preemptive strike on Iran to eliminate security threats. A nationwide state of emergency has been declared due to the risk of retaliatory attacks, and citizens are urged to stay close to shelters, according to The Times of Israel, which cited Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.

Details of the attack and safety measures

Defense Minister Israel Katz announced the introduction of an "immediate state of emergency throughout the entire country". According to him, the preemptive strike on Iran was necessary to neutralize existing threats to the state of Israel.

Sirens are currently sounding across the country. The IDF Home Front Command has urged civilians to stay near bomb shelters and avoid unnecessary travel due to the tense security situation.

Civilian guidance

The Israeli Defense Forces emphasized that the "proactive alert" aims to prepare the public for a possible missile strike on Israeli territory.

The army says that as of now, there is no need to enter shelters. But citizens should know the location of the nearest protected space.

Escalation in the Middle East

Amid the rapidly escalating situation in the Middle East, the administration of US President Donald Trump considered scenarios that could change the course of events in the coming weeks.

Within the White House, there is a belief that it would be politically advantageous for the United States if Israel took the first military step. Presidential advisors argue that such a move would give Washington a stronger position in the event of a larger-scale operation.

At the same time, diplomatic developments show unexpected maneuvers. During February talks in Oman, Tehran reportedly offered to transfer its stockpiles of highly enriched uranium to Russia — enough potentially for twelve nuclear warheads. Iranian officials also hinted at the possibility of freezing uranium enrichment for three years.

Despite these signals toward dialogue, the situation teeters on the edge of a global conflict. While Washington officially considers options to counter Iran’s missile program, sources in American circles increasingly note that diplomatic leverage is nearly exhausted.
