Following another round of negotiations in Istanbul, Russian representative Vladimir Medinsky announced new Kremlin initiatives concerning the war against Ukraine, he said in a statement to Russian media.

Specifically, Moscow proposed the creation of three working groups and the declaration of short-term ceasefires along the front line.

According to Medinsky, Russia suggested forming three working groups that would operate online, focusing on political, humanitarian, and military issues.

"We once again proposed that the Ukrainian side consider declaring short ceasefires along the front line to collect the wounded and retrieve the bodies of their soldiers," Medinsky emphasized.
