May marks a record month in terms of the area of Ukrainian territories de-occupied, thanks to which the Defense Forces gain an advantage over the enemy, states Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov following the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting.

Record de-occupation and enemy losses

According to the minister, Ukraine currently holds an advantage over the Russian occupying forces.

In addition, the Defense Forces have significantly increased the cost in human losses that the enemy is forced to pay for every square kilometer of Ukrainian land.

Fedorov stressed that the latest meeting of partners in the Ramstein format (Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting) was held under the sign of a "window of opportunity" that is clearly visible in the coming months.

"We are working hard to create new opportunities to force the enemy into a just peace," the head of the ministry emphasized.

He also thanked all international partners and participants of the meeting for their continued support for Ukraine.

The minister assured that the country continues to do its "homework" and takes active steps every day.

Military aid from partners

On June 18, during another meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format, international partners announced new large-scale aid packages totaling about $4 billion.

In particular, the Netherlands committed to providing Ukraine with about 700 cruise missiles, and the transfer of long-range artillery with a range of 30+ kilometers was also announced.

In addition, the United Kingdom officially allocated a new funding package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine worth £852 million, using confiscated Russian assets for this purpose.

With these funds, the UK will pay for the supply of 150,000 Ukrainian-made drones, as well as provide 350 missiles for air defense systems and modern radars to protect Ukrainian airspace.
