Luxembourg announces new aid package for Ukraine’s energy sector

The Luxembourg government has contributed an additional €10 million to Ukraine’s Energy Support Fund, increasing its total contribution to €12 million. The full amount has already been transferred to Ukraine, according to the press service of Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy.
"This renewed support is tangible evidence of international unity and Luxembourg's solidarity with Ukraine, coming at an important time as Ukraine and its international partners had just aligned priority actions for Ukraine's resilience at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, held last week in Rome," the Ministry states.
According to him, the funds will be used for urgent emergency repairs to critical infrastructure that is damaged daily by Russian strikes.
The Cabinet also noted that since its launch in April 2022, the Fund has mobilized over €1.16 billion from more than 33 donors, enabling the signing of over 790 supply contracts and commitments totaling €669 million.
Luxembourg’s support for Ukraine
Ukraine recently received equipment worth nearly €2 million from the so-called IT Coalition. The aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine was funded by Luxembourg and Iceland.
Last year, Luxembourg also joined the Drone Coalition initiative aimed at developing industrial production of FPV drones both in Ukraine and in the West.
Additionally, in July last year, Ukraine and Luxembourg signed a bilateral security guarantee agreement in Washington. The agreement outlines Luxembourg’s commitment to providing military support to Ukraine, including in ground, air, and cyber-electromagnetic domains.
