Lithuania will send a new batch of military aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine shortly and will continue supporting Ukraine into the next year as well, citing the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas, during a visit to Kyiv, announced that a new military aid package, including thermal imaging devices, drones, and other essential battlefield equipment, will soon be dispatched to Ukraine.

Additionally, Lithuania has allocated another 10 million euros for 2025 to purchase various types of drones from Lithuanian manufacturers for Ukraine. The country also plans to allocate 30 million euros to support the Coalition on Mine Action, a Czech ammunition initiative, and investments in the Ukrainian defense industry.

Lithuania’s assistance to Ukraine

Lithuania has been consistently providing military support to Ukraine.

In August, Lithuania announced a significant military aid package for Ukraine, which will include short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and anti-drone equipment.

Furthermore, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė said that by the end of autumn, Lithuania plans to deliver more than 5,000 drones to Ukraine.

Recently, it was reported that Lithuania intends to provide Ukraine with an additional 40–50 million euros in aid by the end of the current year. So far, Vilnius has already sent Ukraine aid worth 153 million euros in 2024.

Lithuania will also provide 10 million euros for the production of the Palyanytsia drone missile, following a model similar to the Danish model — directly funding a Ukrainian manufacturer.

In addition, Ukraine and Lithuania signed a memorandum on joint production of drones, ammunition, and electronic warfare equipment.
