Lithuania invests in Ukrainian drones production following Denmark's example

Lithuania will provide 10 million euros for the production of the Palianytsia drone missile. The investment will follow the example of the Danish model, i.e., through direct financing of the Ukrainian manufacturer, according to Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for European Integration Serhii Boev.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the mechanism for financing production was discussed during a conversation between Boev and Lithuanian Deputy Minister of National Defense Monika Koroliovienė.
According to Boev, one of Ukraine's priorities is to acquire the ability to hit enemy targets at a great distance, and therefore Kyiv encourages its allies to invest in the domestic production of long-range weapons.
“Investments following the example of the Danish model will work much faster, and the enemy will soon see the consequences,” he adds.
Palianytsia drone missile
On Independence Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the successful use of a new Ukrainian drone missile called Palianytsia for the first time. This innovative unmanned system was an important step in the development of Ukraine's military equipment. The very next day, Zelenskyy demonstrated the drone missile.
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that the cost of one Palianytsia drone is less than $1 million, making it a relatively inexpensive tool in the current warfare environment.
