Lithuania transfers new batch of military aid to Ukraine
At the end of last week, Lithuania sent a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, including drones, thermal vision devices, and telescopic loaders, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
According to the Ministry, the aid package contains Lithuanian-made drones, thermal vision devices, and five-ton telescopic loaders for Ukrainian forces.
"We cannot slow down our support for Ukraine because ensuring Ukraine's security means caring about our own security. We have also removed bureaucratic obstacles, so support will now reach Ukraine even faster," emphasized Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Dovilė Šakalienė.
The Ministry of Defense noted that Lithuania plans to focus its support for Ukraine this year on air defense, ammunition, drones, anti-drone systems, and supporting Ukraine's defense industry through funding for weapons produced in Ukraine.
The Ministry estimated that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Lithuania has provided military aid to Ukraine worth over €754 million. They also noted that Lithuania's total support for Ukraine has been long-term and has exceeded €1.5 billion.
