The Kremlin has issued a cynical statement regarding the pause in US weapons deliveries to Ukraine. Moscow claims that the fewer missiles Ukraine receives, the closer the war supposedly is to ending, according to the spokesperson for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

"Obviously, the industry simply cannot produce missiles in the necessary quantities in time. Moreover, many deliveries have clearly gone to Israel, while shipments to Ukraine continue. So, there are certain problems in this regard," he said.

At the same time, the president's spokesperson claims that Russia is "closely monitoring" the situation.

Peskov also cynically stated that "the fewer missiles coming into Ukraine from abroad, the closer the end of the special military operation."

Pause in weapons supplies to Ukraine

Western media recently reported that the United States has suspended part of its weapons deliveries to Ukraine. This was later confirmed by the White House, stating that US national interests are currently a priority.

According to media reports, the suspension concerns artillery ammunition, portable Stinger MANPADS, Patriot and Hellfire missiles. The Wall Street Journal noted that the weapons in question even include those already located in Poland.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clarified that working-level negotiations with the US are ongoing to determine the details.

At the same time, the Pentagon stated that it is providing US President Donald Trump with expanded options regarding military aid to Ukraine. The State Department noted that not all weapons deliveries from the US have been halted.
