US halts arms transfer to Ukraine — Weapons were already in Poland

The decision by the Donald Trump administration to suspend part of the military aid to Ukraine concerned weapons that were already stored in warehouses in Poland, according to The Wall Street Journal.
According to WSJ, sources in the White House and Congress said that, at the time the deliveries were halted, more than two dozen Patriot PAC-3 missiles, over two dozen Stinger air defense systems, Hellfire air-to-ground missiles, and more than 90 AIM air-to-air missiles were located in Poland.
At the same time, the Pentagon stated that this does not mean a complete termination of aid to Ukraine. Instead, options will be presented to President Trump for continuing military assistance that align with his goal of ending the war.
US assistance to Ukraine
Since Donald Trump took office, the United States has not announced any new military aid packages for Ukraine.
However, on July 2, Politico, citing sources, reported that Washington had allegedly paused the delivery of air defense missiles and other munitions.
In response to these reports, the Ukrainian side initiated a phone call with American partners to clarify the situation.
More details about the state of US military support can be found in the RBC-Ukraine article.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already responded to the issue.
