Putin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, says Russia was forced to restrict mobile Internet in Moscow during the preparation of the Victory Day celebrations due to a dangerous neighborhood.

"During all the days when the guests of these celebrations will be here, that is, until the 10th inclusive, well, we should probably be prepared for such temporary restrictions on mobile Internet... We have to take into account the, let's say, dangerous neighborhood we have," he said.

However, he could not answer the question of when the restrictions would be lifted.

Parade in Moscow on May 9

Many leaders from other countries were planning to attend the Russian parade. However, it later turned out that some of them had to cancel their visit. For example, Serbian leader Aleksandar Vučić suddenly fell ill and even interrupted his visit to the United States. Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also canceled his trip.

Meanwhile, China confirmed Xi Jinping's visit.

The Internet in Moscow began to be restricted on May 5, the day of the parade rehearsal.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in turn, warned neutral countries against sending their military to participate in the parade.
