Chinese leader Xi Jinping will travel to Russia for official ceremonies marking the end of World War II. His visit will last for four days, according to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"At the invitation of President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation, President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Russia from May 7 to 10 and attend the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow," the statement reads.

It is worth noting that a large parade will take place in Moscow on May 9, to which Putin has invited several leaders from other countries.

The Kremlin has also announced a so-called "ceasefire" for three days, from May 8 to May 10. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire, but not for Russian holidays, and instead, it should last for 30 days.

May 9 Parade in Moscow

It was reported that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić had planned to attend Putin's parade. Furthermore, Serbian military personnel were supposed to participate in the parade.

However, Vučić suddenly fell ill. Due to his health condition worsening, he even cut short his visit to the United States. It is known that he has since been discharged from the hospital, but his visit to Moscow remains uncertain. Additionally, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will not be attending the parade.

Media reports also stated that the Slovak prime minister has health issues. However, Fico confirmed that he would attend Putin's parade.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is not responsible for any events that may take place in Moscow on May 9.
