Residents of the Russian capital Moscow complained of large-scale disruptions in mobile communication and the Internet on Monday, May 5, according to Russian Telegram channels.

All mobile operators had problems with communication. Russians say about failures in the work of mobile communications and the Internet of T2, MTS, and Beeline operators, with most complaints coming from Moscow.

Russians also complain about problems with Telegram as the messenger does not work well and they do not receive notifications.

According to Moscow residents, the problems began at the time of the rehearsal. Today, Russia is rehearsing for the parade that will take place on May 9.

Russians have also started receiving messages about the causes of the failures.

“There may be restrictions on Internet access in connection with providing security of the ongoing festivities,” the Russian authorities said.

Russian president Vladimir Putin has invited the leaders of China, India, and Brazil, as well as the EU countries Slovakia and Serbia, to attend the May 9 parade in Moscow.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić were planning to attend Putin's parade. However, Vučić suddenly fell ill. He even interrupted his visit to the United States due to his deteriorating health. He has already been discharged from the hospital, but his visit to Moscow is still in question. Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will not attend the parade.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Ukraine is not responsible for the events that may occur in Moscow on May 9.
