The Kremlin has claimed that it supposedly has not heard about Ukraine agreeing to discuss the terms of a peace plan to end the war, TASS reports.

According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, Moscow has allegedly not yet been informed of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's supposed agreement to hold talks on US President Donald Trump's peace plan.

What came before

Earlier, the United States initiated a major plan to end the war in Ukraine, comprising 28 points.

A senior White House official acknowledged that the plan is not easy for Ukraine but said the US believes the war must end, and that if it does not, Ukraine will likely lose even more territory.

The White House views the plan as a living document that can be modified based on discussions with both sides. According to US media reports, Ukraine responded positively to many of the points during negotiations and was able to include some of its own positions.

Ukraine confirmed its readiness to move toward a real end to the war, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Kyiv does not intend to obstruct the peace process, following his meeting with the American delegation, which presented its proposals and several points of a possible settlement plan.

President Zelenskyy and US Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll also agreed on tentative timelines for preparing and signing a future agreement under the American settlement plan. According to Axios, during the talks in Kyiv, the Ukrainian leader confirmed his readiness to work with Washington on the proposed elements of the peace plan.

In addition, the full text of the 28-point peace plan that the United States is urging Ukraine and Russia to sign in the near future was published online.
