The enemy carried out missile strikes on the town of Berestyn in the Kharkiv region overnight on November 18. There are casualties, according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.

Preliminary information indicates that 9 people were injured, including a 16-year-old boy.

“Rescue units are working on site, and the consequences of the attack are being clarified,” Syniehubov wrote.

The number of strikes was not specified.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force had announced a threat of ballistic weapons use and reported high-speed targets:

  • near Berestyn toward the Poltava region;
  • in the Kharkiv region.

Air raid alerts across the regions of Ukraine have now been lifted.

The Ukrainian Air Force also announced the cancellation of the ballistic weapons threat.

Enemy attacks on Kharkiv and the region

As reported by RBC-Ukraine, overnight on November 17, Russian forces attacked Balakliia in the Kharkiv region.

The missile strikes hit a densely populated residential area, rescuers noted. Three people were reported dead, and 13 others were injured, including four children.

The attack caused fires in a private house, apartment balconies in multi-story buildings, and passenger cars. Nine- and five-story residential buildings, a kindergarten, and passenger vehicles were damaged.

Earlier, it was reported that on November 14, the Russian army struck a police service vehicle in the Kharkiv region with an FPV drone, killing a police officer.

Additionally, on November 12, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with Geran-2 strike drones. The strikes on the Kholodnohirskyi district injured five people, damaged a civilian enterprise and residential buildings, and caused fires.
