On the morning of November 12, a series of explosions echoed through Kharkiv amid an attack by Russian drones. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Governor Oleh Syniehubov, several direct hits were recorded in one of the city's districts.

Terekhov initially confirmed that an enemy combat drone struck the Kholodnohirskyi district.

"Another strike, also preliminarily in the Kholodnohirskyi district, central part of the city," he later added.

Subsequently, reports came in about a third strike on the same area.

According to preliminary information, three Shahed drones hit the central part of Kharkiv, damaging a civilian industrial facility and several private homes. No information about casualties has been reported so far.

Governor Oleh Syniehubov also confirmed the attack, noting that explosions continue to be heard across the city and Russian drones remain active in the sky.

"According to preliminary information, a hostile UAV strike was recorded in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv. Details are being clarified," he said.

Kharkiv under fire

Kharkiv continues to suffer from regular attacks amid Russia’s ongoing aggression, which involves various types of weapons — including guided aerial bombs (KABs), missiles, and drones.

These attacks have caused damage to both civilian and industrial infrastructure, as well as injuries among the civilian population.

Earlier, Russian drones launched a massive strike on one of the city's districts, leaving more than 20,000 residents without electricity.

In addition, Russian forces destroyed two transformer substations that supplied power to Kharkiv.
