Russia strikes Ukraine's Kharkiv region: Number of wounded rises, including children

Russian troops attacked Balakliia in the Kharkiv region tonight, November 17, with missiles, causing casualties and injuries, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Last night, Russia launched treacherous missile strikes on the peaceful city of Balakliia. The missiles hit a densely populated residential area," rescuers say.
According to preliminary data, 3 people were killed and 13 were injured, including 4 children.
As a result of the Russian attack, a private residential building, the balconies of apartments in high-rise buildings, and cars were on fire. 9- and 5-story residential buildings, a kindergarten, and cars were damaged. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine quickly extinguished all fires.
What Ukraine's General Staff says
"As a result of the Russian missile strike, 7 apartment buildings and a kindergarten were damaged. After a second Russian strike, 2 more 9-story residential buildings were damaged," the Ukraine's General Staff says.
Russia continues its deliberate terror against the civilian population, purposefully attacking residential areas, educational institutions, and medical infrastructure.
8 people were injured as a result of a Russian missile strike on Balakliia in the Kharkiv region. One person is believed to have been killed. Among the wounded are two children aged 14 and 12. A 61-year-old man also sought medical help and was hospitalized.

Russian strikes on Kharkiv and region
On November 14, the Russians struck a police vehicle in the Kharkiv region with an FPV drone. A police officer was killed.
In addition, on November 12, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv with Geran-2 strike drones. As a result of Russian strikes on the Kholodnohirskyi district, 5 people were injured, a civilian enterprise and residential buildings were damaged, and fires broke out. Warehouses belonging to the logistics company SAT were also hit.
Russian drones also hit a private transportation company. As a result of the Russian attack, a pallet of books from several Ukrainian publishers was burned.
