Israel continues to support Ukraine, but within limits that remain in place. At the same time, active dialogue between the two countries continues at various levels, including in the security sphere, Israel's ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

What the ambassador says

"Israel has been providing significant assistance to Ukraine since the first day of the war, primarily humanitarian aid, but not only," Brodsky said.

According to him, this support also concerns the protection of the civilian population. At the same time, the ambassador emphasized that all actions take place within certain limits, and they have not disappeared.

On red lines

Answering a journalist's question about whether the red lines — that is, restrictions on weapons transfers — could change in light of Ukraine's role in countering Iran and assisting Gulf monarchies, the ambassador responded as follows:

"There is no point in going into the details of these restrictions now. We see how the world is changing, and nothing stands still."

At the same time, Brodsky added that contacts between the countries exist, and dialogue — in particular between people dealing with security issues — is very active.

Recently, the Kyiv region received more than 100 backup power systems from the Embassy of Israel and the MASHAV agency.

The equipment is intended to ensure the uninterrupted operation of hospitals, schools, shelters, and communication points amid electricity shortages.

Israel initiated talks between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The exact time for the conversation has not yet been agreed due to the busy schedules of both leaders.

The topic of the upcoming conversation has not been publicly disclosed. A source in the Office of the President of Ukraine confirmed that it is the Israeli side that currently cannot determine a convenient time, but noted that this is not a problem for Zelenskyy.
