There are currently no signs that Russia is preparing a new ground offensive in Ukraine. However, the winter air campaign targeting the country's energy infrastructure has already begun, stated a senior NATO official, according to an RBC-Ukraine correspondent.

"As for signs of a new Russian offensive, I think the most notable thing right now is that the winter campaign — an air campaign aimed at Ukraine's energy infrastructure — has likely begun, and it's being done quite smartly to reduce Ukraine's ability to transfer power from one region to another," the NATO representative said.

He added that double strikes — repeated attacks on already damaged targets — also have a significant impact if repairs and restorations cannot be carried out quickly.

"And there are no signs of any ground offensive either," the official added.

Russian offensive in the Dnipropetrovsk region

Recently, Russian forces released propaganda claiming to have captured the village of Verbove in the Dnipropetrovsk region. However, this information is false.

According to the command of Ukraine's 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group infiltrated Verbove to film a staged video of raising a flag.

The intruders were eliminated, and Verbove remains under the control of the 110th Brigade.

Earlier, Russia had also falsely claimed to have taken control of the village of Kalynivske in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

However, Russian forces have managed to occupy five villages in the area — Novoheorhiivka, Zaporizke, Sichneve (Yanvarske), Maliivka, and Vorona.

Ukraine's Defense Forces are currently holding positions in seven other settlements, where active fighting continues.
