Huge Russian oil refinery burning after Ukrainian attack

On the night of May 15, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery. Explosions were heard on the refinery grounds, and a massive fire broke out, according to the Unmanned Systems Forces and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Unmanned Systems Forces report that the strike on the refinery, owned by Rosneft, was carried out by operators from the 1st Separate Center, the 414th Separate Brigade Magyar's Birds, and the 413th Regiment Raid in coordination with the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a result of the strike, explosions were heard on the refinery grounds, and a large-scale fire broke out. More detailed consequences of the strike are being clarified.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a small missile boat and a minesweeper at the Kaspiysk base. Russian ammunition depots in the areas of Yepifanivka and Rovenky in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk кegion were also struck.
Ukrainian defenders also struck a logistics depot in Raihorodka in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, as well as a Russian electronic warfare (EW) depot in Dmytrivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces also targeted a Russian FSB coastal technical reconnaissance post in Mariupol in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region: an MR-232 Bussol-S radar station and an optoelectronic module were destroyed. Additionally, a fuel and lubricants depot in Mariupol was struck.
Ryazan Oil Refinery
The Ryazan Oil Refinery is among the top 5 largest oil refineries in Russia. Its refining capacity is approximately 17 million tons of oil per year.
The plant produces A-92/95/98/100 gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, liquefied gases, and other petroleum products. The plant produces an average of 840,000 tons of TS-1 jet fuel annually, which is used, in particular, by the Russian air and space forces.
One of Russia's largest refineries, Lukoil-Permnaftorgsintez, has completely halted operations following a Ukrainian drone attack.
In addition, on May 13, the Nurlino oil pumping station, one of the largest hubs in Russia’s Transneft system, caught fire in Bashkortostan. The distance from the station to the border with Ukraine is over 1,200 kilometers.
