The German government intends to increase its support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression to more than €11.5 billion in 2026, ntv reports.

The corresponding provision is included in the Ministry of Finance's submission for the final review of the draft state budget by the Budget Committee of the Bundestag.

According to the publication, the additional funds are planned to be directed toward artillery, drones, armored vehicles, and the replacement of two Patriot air defense systems that have been transferred to Ukraine.

The final discussion of the 2026 budget will take place on November 13, when the Budget Committee will hold its final session to approve the details of the document.

Aid from Germany

Earlier, Germany announced an increase in financial assistance to Ukraine of approximately three billion euros for 2026.

On Sunday, November 2, Ukraine received new Patriot air defense systems from Germany.

Before that, Berlin had announced its intention to transfer two systems from Bundeswehr stockpiles at the beginning of August 2025. The delivery was carried out with financial support from Denmark, Lithuania, and Norway.

Germany has allocated a new aid package to Ukraine worth € 60 million. It will be directed toward restoring damaged Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

These funds will accelerate the delivery of generators, energy equipment, and mobile thermal power stations.

Earlier, German Finance Minister and Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil stated that his country would participate in providing security guarantees to Ukraine together with European partners.
