On the night of August 16, drones are launching a massive attack on Moscow — within a few hours, at least 76 drones have been shot down over the city and the region, reports Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
The attack on Moscow lasted for several hours, with Sobyanin reporting new downed drones almost every hour. Initially, he reported seven drones shot down while flying toward the city, and within minutes — another five.
The numbers began to rise even more rapidly: first eight drones, then another eight, followed by ten, twelve, and fifteen.
As of 4:05 AM, the total number of downed drones, according to the mayor's official data, had reached at least 76 — the attack is still ongoing, and Sobyanin continues to update the figures. At the debris impact sites, according to him, emergency service specialists have been working continuously.

Meanwhile, reports have appeared online of a possible strike in the Kolyedino area — where one of the Wildberries logistics complexes is located.

OSINT analysts from the Telegram channel ASTRA have confirmed: the largest Wildberries warehouse came under attack — a logistics complex in Podolsk, Moscow region, at Troitskaya Street, 20, in the village of Kolyedino. According to OSINT analysis of eyewitness photographs, a large-scale fire is ongoing there following the night drone attack.
The warehouse area exceeds 200,000 square meters — making it the company's largest logistics facility.
Drone attacks on Moscow and its surrounding areas have become regular this summer. As recently as August 14, the city and the Leningrad region came under drone strikes — damage and a fire were recorded in the area of one of the ports. On August 7, a powerful explosion rocked Moscow, shaking walls and windows across the city for residents — official services did not comment on the situation at the time.
