Germany to deliver 2 more Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine by end of 2025

Germany is preparing to transfer two more modern Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. Their delivery is scheduled to take place by the end of 2025, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius says during the Warsaw Security Forum.
According to the minister, Russia's recent massive attacks, during which more than 580 drones and more than 40 missiles were launched, confirmed the need to further strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
He says that's what they're doing.
Pistorius recalled that Berlin has already transferred three Patriot systems to Kyiv. Two new installations are planned to be transferred by the end of 2025.
The minister says by the end of this year, they will provide two more modern Patriot systems with the support of their Norwegian partners.
Air defense systems for Ukraine
Germany had previously announced the start of the transfer of two new Patriot systems to Ukraine.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Berlin is ready to provide Ukraine with two Patriot systems, but only on condition that the equipment is replaced promptly.
On August 1, Germany announced the transfer of these systems. In the first stage, it is planned to supply launchers, and in 2-3 months, the rest of the components of the complexes.
In addition, Norway has allocated about $700 million to support Ukraine's Patriot air defense system.
