Germany is in the process of supplying Ukraine with two complete Patriot air defense systems, said German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius during the Ramstein meeting.

He stated that, in addition to ongoing deliveries of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, Germany is in the process of delivering two full Patriot systems to Ukraine.

"The first launchers have already been delivered to Ukraine," Pistorius noted.

He also thanked Norway for agreeing to cover half of the cost of these two Patriot systems.

"Together with our American allies, we are making a rapid replacement of the Patriot systems possible," added the German Defense Minister.

Air defense systems for Ukraine

Previously, US President Donald Trump announced the provision of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine with support from NATO allies.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed Berlin’s readiness to supply two Patriot complexes, but only if the equipment is replaced quickly.

Germany announced on August 1 that it would transfer two Patriot systems to Ukraine, starting with launchers in the first phase. During the second phase, Berlin plans to deliver the remaining system components over the next 2–3 months.

Norway has also allocated about $700 million for Patriot systems for Ukraine.

Recently, it was reported that France and Germany will provide Ukraine with additional air defense systems.
