"A wider range of issues will be discussed at the talks in Geneva compared to Abu Dhabi, in particular, the territories," said the Kremlin spokesperson.
Geneva talks
The next round of negotiations involving the US, Ukraine, and Russia will take place on February 17-18 in Geneva. This was first reported by the Kremlin and later confirmed by the Ukrainian President's adviser, Dmytro Lytvyn.
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov says that during the trilateral talks, the Ukrainian side plans to raise the issue of an energy truce. Today, February 16, the Ukrainian negotiating team left for Geneva.
On February 15, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced consultations ahead of the meeting in Geneva with representatives of US President Donald Trump's team, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Ukraine will be represented in Geneva by virtually the same delegation as during the previous negotiations in Abu Dhabi. It will again include the head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Budanov.
The Russian delegation will include at least 15 people. In particular, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin will take part in the negotiations, and the delegation will be headed by Russian Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Alexei Zhuravlev said that Russia will not be satisfied with the transfer of the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions alone.
He also noted that Moscow seeks a change of power in Kyiv and the removal of the allegedly Russophobic government.
