First US weapons under PURL program have already arrived in Ukraine - NATO

Within the framework of Ukraine's Priority Needs List (PURL) program, four weapon packages have already been funded. Two are already on their way to Ukraine, according to a RBC-Ukraine source.
In response to a request from RBC-Ukraine, a NATO representative said that four packages have already been funded.
"So far, four packages have been financed under Ukraine’s Priority Needs List (PURL). Some of the equipment from the first packages has already arrived in Ukraine, and even more is on the way," the interlocutor said.
What is PURL
The PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) mechanism is a new initiative by the US and NATO to accelerate the delivery of weapons to Ukraine. Under this program, Kyiv compiles a list of priority weapons needs, which is then shared with NATO partners.
Partner countries, in turn, fund the purchase of US weapons that correspond to this list. The funds are transferred to a special NATO account, and the weapons are purchased directly from the US.
On September 16, it became known that the administration of US President Donald Trump approved the first two military aid packages for Ukraine under the PURL program.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the first military aid packages under PURL would provide Ukraine with missiles for Patriot and HIMARS systems. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for its part, has not confirmed the start of deliveries but described the approval as a "positive signal" from partners.
