F-16s will soon be delivered to Ukraine - Prime Minister of Denmark
Danish F-16 fighter jets will soon be delivered to Ukraine. The agreement for their transfer was reached between the countries earlier, according to a statement by the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen.
Frederiksen emphasized that today's meeting in Stockholm sends a strong message that all people in Northern Europe stand firmly alongside Ukraine.
The Prime Minister noted that the second message was unequivocal: there is a pressing need to expedite and enhance support for Ukraine due to the highly critical situation on the battlefield. At present, all Nordic countries have security obligations, and substantial military aid has already been provided to Ukraine, with plans to increase this assistance further. Additionally, Danish F-16s will soon be en route to Ukraine.
F-16 Fighters for Ukraine
In 2023, Ukraine's allies formed an aviation coalition under which Ukraine would receive F-16 fighters from the Netherlands, Denmark, and other partners.
Recently, we reported that the first group of Ukrainian pilots has completed training on F-16 aircraft at a military base in the United States.
Moreover, Belgium recently announced its commitment to provide Ukraine with 30 F-16 fighters by 2028.
