On the night of June 26, explosions were heard in Kremenchuk and Poltava. The enemy is attacking the cities with drones and ballistic missiles, according to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the channel of the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Diakivnych.
This night at approximately 00:50, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine. At the same time, the military warned of a ballistic threat from the northeast, after which two missiles were recorded heading toward Kremenchuk.
At the same time, local channels began reporting loud explosions, and it was also known that the city was being attacked by enemy drones in addition to ballistic missiles. The Russian attack has now been confirmed by the Regional Military Administration.
"The Kremenchuk community is under enemy attack. Stay in shelters until the all-clear is given," wrote Vitalii Diakivnych on Telegram.
At approximately 01:02 Kyiv time, explosions were heard in Poltava. What exactly this is connected to is unknown, but the military is still detecting Russian drones in the Poltava region.
The Air Force again detected ballistic missiles heading toward Kremenchuk, after which explosions were heard in the city once again.
Attacks on Kremenchuk
In March of this year, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal stated that the Russians are trying to destroy Ukrainian oil refining with thousands of missiles and drones. According to him, the Kremenchuk refinery alone was hit by 60 missiles and about 260 drones.
Last month, on the night of May 14, the Russians carried out another combined strike on Ukraine, including on Kremenchuk. At that time, energy facilities, an industrial enterprise, warehouses, and the residential sector came under attack in the city.
