Russians are trying to destroy Ukraine's oil refining industry with thousands of missiles and drones. Kremenchuk oil refinery alone was hit by 69 missiles and about 260 drones, Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said during a speech in parliament.
"Now most fuel supply contracts are being fulfilled, although at the beginning of the month, there were certain problems with this. In March, Ukraine has already imported almost 250 thousand tons of gasoline, diesel, and liquefied gas," Shmyhal said.
According to him, Ukraine reserves currently contain almost 100 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel each. For comparison, as of February 1 this year, there were 64 thousand tons of gasoline and 83 thousand tons respectively.
"Most supplies come from Poland, Lithuania, Romania, and Greece. In total, supplies are carried out from more than 10 countries. Therefore, the situation with the availability of resources is currently under control. Government is in constant contact with networks and helps everywhere it can," the energy minister added.
He also added that it is no secret that Russians are trying to destroy Ukraine's energy sector with thousands of missiles and drones, including oil refining. Russia spent more than 60 missiles on the Kremenchuk oil refinery alone.
"This is essentially arrivals of 60 missiles — cruise and ballistic — as well as 260 drones that struck this facility. Even more were launched in the direction of this enterprise," Shmyhal concluded.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops have carried out several massive attacks on the Kremenchuk oil refinery, and a series of strikes caused large fires at the facility.
