According to eyewitnesses, a serious fire occurred on the premises of the Krasnoyarsk aluminum plant, with reports of an initial explosion.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that a transformer on the plant's premises ignited, resulting in a fire covering an area of 50 square meters.
The plant authorities claim that no casualties have been reported.
