Russian forces attacked Kyiv overnight on July 10 with drones and missiles. The strike caused casualties and injuries. Fires broke out, and smoke covered the city.

As reported, residential, medical, educational, commercial, and transportation infrastructure were damaged in eight districts of the capital.

The strike caused destruction and falling debris across eight districts: Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Podilskyi, Solomianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi.

Across the city, residential buildings, dormitories, auto service stations, a garage cooperative, vehicles, a shopping center, road surfaces, and tram tracks were damaged.

Shevchenkivskyi district suffered the most from the combined Russian attack.

Several residential high-rises were damaged there. Fires broke out in the apartments on the top floors. Emergency crews have already responded.

In addition to homes, office buildings also caught fire. Flames were reported on rooftops, balconies, and utility floors.

Emergency response centers have been established in Shevchenkivskyi and Podilskyi districts to support those affected.

Two people have been killed in the latest attack. The victims are a 68-year-old Kyiv resident and a 22-year-old Police Corporal who served with the Metropolitan Police.

Local authorities also reported that an outpatient clinic — Primary Medical and Sanitary Care No. 1 — in Podilskyi district was almost completely destroyed in the strike.

As for the injured, the latest figures show 16 people were hurt in the capital.

Meanwhile, in Darnytskyi district, falling debris sparked fires at a gas station and in nearby garages. Fragments also landed in the courtyard of a residential building.

Debris also fell in the Solomianskyi district, where administrative and warehouse buildings caught fire. Emergency crews are still working to eliminate the aftermath at one of the sites.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a truck caught fire during the attack.

Fires from the strikes filled the air with smoke across Kyiv. Authorities are urging residents to stay indoors unless necessary and to keep their windows closed.

Roughly 400 rescue workers and 90 units of State Emergency Service equipment have been deployed across the city to clear debris and respond to the aftermath. Specialized climbing and bomb disposal teams are also on the ground.

As a reminder, yesterday, Russian forces launched a massive strike on Lutsk, firing five missiles and 50 drones at the city. Fires broke out, but no casualties or injuries were reported.

Kyiv also faced a major attack on the night of July 4. In that strike, Russian forces used more than 500 drones and missiles. Most were aimed at the capital. Over 20 people were injured, and three were killed.
