Efforts to stop Russia's war against Ukraine will be intensified in January next year after the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Speaking during a press conference with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine needs a just and lasting peace.

"After President Trump's inauguration, efforts to stop the war will clearly intensify. What we all in Europe need is not just a pause, not just a temporary ceasefire, but a real and lasting peace," Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that achieving such peace requires strong support from Ukraine’s partners.

"We need real peace. The main thing is that such peace can be secured through strength," Zelenskyy concluded.
