Poland's PM in Lviv urges partners to stop speculating about possible defeat of Ukraine
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived in Lviv today for a visit. He called on the world not to speculate on the potential defeat of Ukraine.
"I appeal to all the leaders of the Western world - we must all support Ukraine now more than ever. Stop speculating about the possible defeat of Ukraine," Tusk said.
As reported by Polskie Radio 24, Tusk emphasized that Ukraine is successfully defending itself against the Russian invasion, "despite some miscreants."
"We are facing a great struggle for the future of Ukraine, Poland, and Europe. All of us, without exception, must support Ukraine now more than ever, for the sake of the peace we all long for — no one wants peace more than Ukraine, we know this; and in the EU, no one wants peace more than Poland, for similar reasons," Tusk said.
He is confident that now is the time for the entire West to believe in its own strength. Ukraine and the entire world deserve a just peace, respect for territories and borders.
Tusk's statements
Recently, Tusk stated that peace negotiations to end the war between Ukraine and Russia could begin as early as this winter.
Later, Zelenskyy mentioned that he had a conversation with Tusk. They discussed their joint work and plans for Poland's presidency in the EU.
