On the night of Saturday, November 29, unidentified drones attacked the Afipsky oil refinery located in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, according to Russian Telegram channels.
The drones once again reached the Afipsky refinery near Krasnodar, which is one of the largest in Russia.
Residents reported that explosions have been ongoing for the past half hour.
The Afipsky oil refinery specializes in the production of gasoline and diesel fuel and is actively involved in supplying fuel to Russian military forces.
The refinery processes approximately 6.25 million tons of crude oil annually, making it one of the key fuel hubs for the Russian army.
Previous strikes on the Afipsky oil refinery
On the night of September 26, Ukrainian forces struck the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. As a result of the strike, a fire broke out at one of the technological units.
Earlier, drones struck the Afipsky refinery on the night of August 28, which also caused a fire.
Additionally, on February 10, 2025, the Afipsky refinery became the target of Ukrainian drones. At that time, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, noted that the Afipsky refinery is one of the key refineries on Russian territory.
On the night of November 28, explosions were heard in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Russians complained about drone attacks, and strong explosions were reported in Saratov and in temporarily occupied Crimea.
By morning, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the Defense Forces successfully struck the oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region, a UAV storage site at the Saky airfield, and other enemy facilities.
