Russian occupying forces have received a direct order to significantly increase the number of kamikaze drone strikes on Zaporizhzhia. The enemy is planning to target civilian infrastructure in the regional center, according to the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Details of the criminal order

According to the Active Actions Department of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence (HUR), the order was issued by leaders of the Russian occupation forces to units of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Armed Forces.

They are demanding an escalation of terror at the operational depth of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.

To implement these criminal plans, the command has promised the Russian army an increased supply of strike FPV drones.

Reasons for the escalation of terror

Ukrainian military intelligence explains that the order to intensify strikes against Ukrainian civilians reflects anger and dissatisfaction within the Kremlin leadership.

The main reasons are the growing losses of the Russian army on the front line and the lack of any tangible results on the battlefield, including in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia

Russian forces regularly carry out massive attacks on civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. Recently, the intensity of these attacks has significantly increased.

In particular, on June 8, a Russian drone struck a residential area in Zaporizhzhia, damaging apartment buildings and causing civilian casualties.

On June 12, the Russian army targeted civilian logistics — a Russian drone hit a Nova Poshta (post service) terminal in Zaporizhzhia, triggering a large fire at the facility.

Additionally, on the evening of June 16, the enemy launched five strikes on Zaporizhzhia, destroying a residential building, a shopping center, and damaging an educational institution, resulting in one death and three injuries.
