Drone strikes residential area in Zaporizhzhia, casualties reported

On Monday, June 8, a Russian drone struck a residential area in Zaporizhzhia, resulting in fatalities, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
It is reported that the drone strike on a residential district in Zaporizhzhia caused both deaths and injuries, with the number of victims still being clarified.
The enemy drone attacked a residential neighborhood, damaging residential buildings and infrastructure. According to preliminary reports, five people were initially reported injured, but the number later increased.

Updated data shows the injury toll from the strike has increased to 15 people. All those injured are receiving necessary medical assistance, with medics working at the scene.
Unfortunately, two people were killed in the attack. Information about the consequences is still being clarified, and emergency services continue to work at the site and deal with the aftermath.
On the night of June 7 and the morning of the same day, Russian forces carried out a series of strikes on Zaporizhzhia, resulting in power outages and partial electricity disruptions in the city.
During a daytime attack on June 6, one of the Russian strikes hit a supermarket building in Zaporizhzhia, injuring a child among others. Updated reports indicate that the impact struck the roof of the retail facility.
On the morning of June 8, the city of Konotop in the Sumy region came under a drone attack, damaging a multi-storey residential building. According to preliminary information, one person may still be trapped under the rubble, while three of the injured are in intensive care.
