Russia attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia overnight on June 7 and again in the morning of the same day. As a result, a partial blackout has been reported in the city, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

According to his posts, the enemy attempted to attack the region throughout the night. In particular, there was a threat of drone strikes, guided aerial bombs, and even an air raid alert due to the risk of ballistic missile use.

By morning, the attacks on the region continued, including Zaporizhzhia itself. As a result, the shelling caused a partial blackout.

"Due to the enemy attack, one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia has been partially disconnected from power. Energy workers are already working to restore electricity to consumers," the statement said.

Fedorov later wrote that Russian forces again struck Zaporizhzhia, causing a fire. Emergency services are already heading to the scene.

Shelling of Zaporizhzhia

As a reminder, Russian forces regularly attack Zaporizhzhia using various types of weapons. For example, last night the city's critical and industrial infrastructure was targeted. In addition, a drone strike caused a fire near a residential building.

RBC-Ukraine previously reported that on the night of May 29, another Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia caused fires and damaged high-rise buildings.

We also wrote that on May 5, the city was not spared either. At that time, cars, a shop, an industrial facility burned in Zaporizhzhia after a Russian attack, and residential buildings were also damaged.
