Russia strikes Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs: Fires broke out, one person killed

On Tuesday, May 5, Russian forces carried out a strike on Zaporizhzhia using guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, one person was killed, and several were injured, according to a post by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
Around 4:10 p.m. Kyiv time, explosions were heard in the Zaporizhzhia region. It later became known that smoke was rising over the city as a result of the enemy attack.
Later, Ivan Fedorov reported that Russian forces had struck several enterprises in Zaporizhzhia using guided aerial bombs (KABs).
By 4:37 p.m., fires were reported: cars, a shop, and one of the enterprises were burning.

Later, the head of the Regional Military Administration clarified that residential buildings, a car service station, and a car wash were damaged as a result of the strike.
As of 4:50 p.m., six people were reported injured. They were hospitalized.
At 5:06 p.m., Ivan Fedorov reported that a man had been killed.
Emergency services are working at the scene, and response efforts are ongoing.
By 5:22 p.m., the number of injured had risen to eight.
It is also noted that Russian forces earlier today struck Chernihiv using attack drones, including “Shahed”-type UAVs.
A drone hit the central part of the city.
As a result of the strike, an administrative building and vehicles were damaged. Additionally, three people sought medical assistance for blast-related injuries (acoustic barotrauma), which can affect hearing, lungs, and internal organs.
