Drone attack and fire reported in Rostov region
In the Rostov region of Russia, air defense forces were active during the night of September 27 due to the detection of drones in the area. As a result of repelling an aerial attack near the city of Novoshakhtinsk, a fire broke out, according to the governor of Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, and Russian media sources.
According to a Russian official, around three o'clock in the morning, air defense forces reportedly destroyed seven drones near Novoshakhtinsk. Local authorities had been complaining about a drone attack since 11:46 PM local time.
"As a result of debris falling in the fields, the grass caught fire. The fire was promptly extinguished by emergency services," stated the governor of Rostov.
He also added that there were no casualties or damage reported on the ground.
However, Russian media reported that the fire in the Novoshakhtinsk area was quite significant, igniting in the Novaya Sokolovka microdistrict near the power lines.
