At night, Russians reported an attack on an oil depot in the Rostov region. The attack was carried out by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to the sources, on the night of August 18, as a result of an operation by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the oil depot of the Kavkaz Combine, located in the Proletarsk district of Rostov region, was hit.

The said oil depot worked for the enemy military-industrial complex and supported the activities of the Russian forces.

According to Ukrainian intelligence sources, the attack was carried out using Ukrainian-made kamikaze drones.

According to Russian local Telegram channels, eyewitnesses reported hearing at least three explosions in the area of the facility, followed by the ignition of fuel tanks.

Currently, they are still trying to extinguish the fire at the facility. The detailed results of the damage to the oil depot are being clarified.

Earlier today, Russian media reported that a fire broke out at an oil facility in the Rostov region as a result of drone strikes.

According to preliminary data, the facility was hit by several strikes at once.

Fires and explosions at oil refineries in Russia

Ukraine has been attacking oil refineries in Russia for a long time. In particular, on August 4, there was a massive fire near an oil depot in Azov, Rostov Region.

Shortly before that, Ukrainian drones successfully attacked other Russian oil depots. In particular, in the Tambov region and the Republic of Adygea.

Another oil facility was on fire in the Rostov region. According to RBC-Ukraine's source, it was a special operation by the SSU.

As a reminder, in late June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that SSU drones had already hit more than 30 oil refineries, terminals, and oil depots in Russia.
