Shelling in the Rostov region
Defense forces have been regularly targeting military and industrial facilities in regions of Russia bordering Ukraine for several months, aiming to diminish the enemy's combat and offensive capabilities.
On the night of August 18, Ukrainian troops struck the Kombinat Kavkaz oil depot located in the city of Proletarsk, Rostov region. The operation was organized by Ukraine's Defense Intelligence.
Firefighters battled the blaze for several days. The day after the attack, an explosion occurred on the depot's premises, injuring many firefighters.
Subsequently, another fuel tank exploded at the depot.
