Denmark announces new €536 million military aid package for Ukraine: Details

The Danish government has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine totaling more than 4 billion Danish kroner (€536 million), the Danish Ministry of Defense informs.
Package XXVI includes artillery systems, ammunition, and equipment for the Air Force. It will also expand military training programs.
A portion of the funds will go toward artillery shells as part of the Czech initiative. This project brings together Denmark, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands to ensure a steady supply of ammunition for Ukraine.
The scope of military training for Ukrainian brigades will also be expanded.
Danish Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen emphasized that supporting Ukraine remains a top priority. He said the new package will help Ukraine both in the short and long term.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen added that this is the most effective way to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities amid ongoing Russian aggression.
The total amount of military assistance Denmark plans to provide through its aid fund between 2023 and 2028 will exceed 66 billion kroner (approximately €8.86 billion).
Denmark's military aid for Ukraine
Earlier this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Denmark was preparing its 26th military aid package for Ukraine.
In April, the Danish government announced a new defense package worth 6.7 billion kroner (about $995 million). The funds will be allocated over the course of 2025 to 2027. The package includes air defense systems, artillery assets, and financial support for the Ukrainian Air Force.
In addition, in March, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced plans to invest roughly €40 million into a special innovation fund. The goal of the fund is to enhance the technological capabilities of the Ukrainian military in modern warfare conditions.
