Denmark allocates a new military aid package to Ukraine worth 6.7 billion Danish kroner ($995 million). The aid will be provided over the 2025-2027 period, according to the Danish government.

The key elements of the new aid package include:

  • Air defense systems

  • Artillery

  • Financial support for the Air Force

Additionally, from 2025 to 2027, Denmark is allocating $208 million to finance the supply of artillery and ammunition through its allies.

Funds will also be directed toward supporting the Drone Coalition and the IT Coalition. Additionally, from 2026 to 2027, further funds will be allocated for further contributions to the development of Ukraine's defense industry based on the Danish model.

"It is crucial that we help Ukrainians build their defense industry. The Danish model has shown that Ukrainian potential produces and supplies equipment for Ukraine's fight for freedom. Denmark must continue investing in this, and I hope other countries will follow our example even more," said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

Denmark’s support for Ukraine

Denmark is one of Ukraine’s key allies in the war against Russian aggression. It provides significant military aid, including Leopard 1 tanks, artillery, ammunition, and F-16 fighter jets.

Beyond military assistance, Denmark provides financial and humanitarian support, helping to rebuild infrastructure and demine the territories. The country also participates in sanctions pressure on Russia and advocates for strengthening international support for Ukraine, particularly within the EU and NATO.

In March, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced plans to allocate nearly 40 million euros to an innovation fund aimed at supporting Ukraine’s need for rapid technological advancements on the battlefield.
