Denmark preparing 26th military aid package for Ukraine – Zelenskyy

Denmark continues to provide military aid to Ukraine. The country is now preparing its 26th support package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President said he held a meeting today with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
"We discussed continued military support and direct investment in Ukraine’s defense industry. Denmark is one of the leaders in supporting our country and is already preparing its 26th military aid package for Ukraine. This support helps save lives. We deeply appreciate it," the President said.
Zelenskyy and Frederiksen also discussed the talks in Istanbul and the coordination of diplomatic efforts with the United States and European partners.
"We share the view that pressure on Russia is essential if it refuses a ceasefire," the President noted.
He added that in July this year, Denmark will assume the presidency of the EU Council, and Ukraine counts on Denmark’s support in advancing European integration - another topic discussed during the meeting.
"I thank the government and all the people of Denmark for their unwavering support and every expression of help for our country and our people," Zelenskyy emphasized.
Assistance from Denmark to Ukraine
In April, Denmark allocated a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth DKK 6.7 billion (USD 995 million). The aid will be provided over the period of 2025-2027.
The main elements of the new aid package are air defense, artillery, and financial support for the Air Force.
Also in March, the Danish Ministry of Defense announced its intention to allocate almost 40 million euros for an innovation fund that will support Ukraine's need for rapid technological development on the battlefield.
In addition, it was recently reported that Denmark will allocate over €42 million for artillery ammunition for Ukraine. The shells will be procured through Estonia.
